Winter is a couple of weeks late, but has finally arrived. The National Weather Service issued the first Winter Storm Warning of the season Saturday– expecting 10-20 inches of snow above 7,000 feet (hello, Incline Pines!).
From the NWS: Winds gusting as high as 50 mph in lower elevations and 80 to 100 mph over Sierra Ridges. Wave heights on Lake Tahoe 2 to 5 feet. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines.
