Dumpster abuse case settled

The Incline Pines HOA is trying to control the rising cost of trash disposal and the effort has been paying off.

The surveillance camera the HOA installed last year has documented a number of cases of dumpster abuse, but none as egregious as the incident captured on July 10.

Two men illegally dumping debris in and around the dumpsters

In the video, two men obviously aware that what they’re doing is wrong, fill the dumpsters with debris and place items outside the dumpsters while hiding their activity as vehicles drive by.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office helped the HOA identify the registered owner of the pickup truck who apparently had no knowledge his vehicle was being used in this manner. He agreed to reimburse the HOA $663.19 to cover a months’ worth of disposal charges by Waste Management.

We want to thank the WCSO for its assistance.
